RIDGE holds its Forum twice a year, in May and December, bringing together economics researchers from across Latin America and beyond. Fatum runs the call for papers, the review, and attendance confirmation for each edition.
Challenge
Each edition gathers papers for several workshops, from authors in different countries, with deadlines set in another time zone. Coordinating submissions, reviews, decisions, and confirmations across emails and spreadsheets took a lot of manual follow-up.
Solution
The team opens the call with each edition's workshops, the committee reviews and decides in the platform, and accepted authors confirm attendance before the event's deadline.

Results
The committee and Fatum see in one place where each paper stands, what is still to be decided, and who has confirmed attendance.

In previous editions, the call was tracked across forms, spreadsheets, and emails; at the December Forum 2026 the whole cycle ran through Academic Flow.
“With Academic Flow we see the Forum's whole call at a glance: which papers came in, where each review stands, and who has already confirmed. We no longer track the event's status through emails.”
